Joshua Boardman: Revenge porn is a felony level offense in the state of Illinois.
Dunn: Can I be charged for sending unsolicited explicit images?
Boardman: Absolutely. Yes, if you are in possession or you were sent something in confidence or privately that be pornographic, sexual in nature, and then you take that and without the consent or without the approval of the subject or the person that sent that to you, and you send it to your buddy, you send it to whomever, you send it out, a lot of times people will disseminate this in even more public ways as a method of blackmail or what have you. That all is felony level behavior in the state of Illinois.
