Interview Transcript

Scott Michael Dunn: Can DNA evidence be wrong or contaminated?

Joshua Boardman: Absolutely. I mean, if it’s not stored correctly, if it’s not tested correctly, if the durational times between when it was collected versus when it was tested, there’s parameters that have to be followed there. So, our job is to obviously, and oftentimes it’s through hiring an expert, to evaluate the collection and storage and testing process of that DNA and see if there’s anything that would be inconsistent with how that’s collected or any sort of weakening factors through that process.
