Joshua Boardman: A first-time DUI in the state of Illinois is a Class A misdemeanor. However, the more that you accumulate or the more convictions that you have, you can move into felony classifications. For example, aggravated DUI would be if that’s your third DUI conviction or greater you can move into that felony realm.
