Scott Michael Dunn: Do I need a lawyer for a DCFS investigation in Illinois?
Christopher Combs: Absolutely.
Joshua Boardman: Absolutely.
Dunn: Really?
Boardman: Because they’re going to be asking you the same… You said it well previously. Their common objective is going to be the best interest of the child. State’s attorney’s office is obviously the pursuit of justice, but that can be one in the same with the best interest of the alleged victim or whomever. So the nature of the questions are also often going to be parallel. So you are going to be asked incriminating questions in a DCFS or a CPS investigation through a social worker or a DCFS investigator that you would talking to a law enforcement agent or detective.
