Joshua Boardman: You do. Oftentimes, they’ll be a court date on your ticket. You need to be at that court date. If you don’t, there can be a warrant issued for your arrest. There can be other financial penalties. It does not shed a good light on you as a defendant if you’re already not participating in the legal process. So, we encourage everyone to seriously consider attending every court appearance for criminal cases.
