Scott Michael Dunn: What is the Illinois sex offender registry?
Joshua Boardman: It is a registry that’s maintained through police department and other government entities and agencies requiring individuals that are found guilty or convicted of these sex crimes. It is essentially a database to track their location, where they live, what their occupation is. It tracks what access they have or specifically don’t have to social media. It tracks what they’ve been convicted of or charged with. It tracks when they no longer have a registration requirement or do they always have a registration requirement? Any sort of special conditions that may be imposed on their registration requirements. It’s the state’s general database for all that information.
Christopher Combs: And it’s extremely strict. We see another influx of calls regarding failure to register. And that can be based off a move and not updating your address. I mean, it’s very, very stringent.
