Combs Waterkotte represented a Scott City man in Scott County Circuit Court on one count of possession of child pornography. Our client was facing up to 10 years in prison and also 10 years on the sex offender registry. We vigorously defended the case from the outset asserting that the images our client possessed did not meet the statutory definition of “pornography.” Ultimately, after we argued various motions, our client received a very favorable plea deal as the charge was reduced to misdemeanor child endangerment. Our client was placed on 2 years probation and avoided being placed on the sex offender registry.
