579.082. Marketing of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine — penalty.

You can’t advertise or sell certain cold meds for unapproved uses.

If you sell or promote products with ephedrine or pseudoephedrine for things like energy or weight loss, it’s against the law unless it’s officially approved.

1. A person breaks this law if they knowingly advertise, sell, or label any product with ephedrine or pseudoephedrine to be used for energy, focus, weight loss, or similar purposes not officially approved by the government.

2. This is a class E felony.
