579.080. Delivery of an imitation controlled substance — penalty.
It’s illegal to sell or give out fake drugs.
If you try to give someone something that looks like a drug but isn’t, or plan to do so, you can be charged with a crime.
1. A person commits the offense of delivery of an imitation controlled substance if they knowingly give out, plan to give out, or help deliver a fake drug.
2. This is a class E felony.
