559.110. Bond may be required — forfeiture.
The court can require a bond when giving probation or parole.
If someone gets probation or parole, the judge can ask for a bond to make sure they keep showing up in court.
1. A judge may require a person on probation or parole to post a bond with one or more sureties. This bond promises they’ll appear in court as ordered and not leave without permission.
2. The court or court clerk must approve the bond. If the person doesn’t follow the rules, the bond can be forfeited and collected like other court appearance bonds.
