Scott Michael Dunn: What probation terms are common for a DUI in Cook County, Illinois area?
Joshua Boardman: Oftentimes, a judge will impose conditions that are relevant to the crime. So, they are not accusing everyone of who is driving under the influence of having substance abuse issues or having alcohol issues. That’s really not what the accusations are. But they do want to see your participation in programs that curtail that kind of behavior. So, a lot of times they require victim impact panels or chemical or substance abuse accountability style classes. So, you may have to go sit in a class on a Saturday or participate in some sort of substance abuse program online. Terms of probation may be random urine analysis or drug testing or alcohol testing, different conditions like that. Most of which are at least relevant to the crime in which you are facing, which would be the DUI.
