Scott Michael Dunn: What is a statutory summary suspension in Illinois?
Joshua Boardman: Statutory summary suspension, or oftentimes we just call is SSS, is their legal process. It’s administrative, so it’s not criminal. It’s their administrative process for taking action against your driver’s license based on a DUI arrest. And so 46 days after a DUI arrest, the Secretary of State will often times suspend your license for a period of time. And that depends on did you blow and blow over, did you refuse, how many DUI convictions do you have in the past? So after 46 days, your license privileges will be suspended.
