720 ILCS 648/10 Definitions
This section explains the meanings of words used in a law about tracking and limiting certain drug ingredients.
“Administer” or “administration” means giving a drug to someone as the law describes.
“Agent” means a person who acts on behalf of someone else, like helping with official duties under the law.
“Authorized representative” means a worker approved in writing to get private information from the state database.
“Central Repository” means the group chosen by the Illinois State Police to handle electronic drug sales records.
“Convenience package” means a package with 360 milligrams or less of certain cold medicine ingredients in liquid or capsule form.
“Covered pharmacy” means a pharmacy in Illinois that sells products with certain drug ingredients used to make meth.
“Deliver” means handing over or transferring a drug to someone else as defined by law.
“Dispense” means preparing and giving a medicine to someone as allowed by law.
“Distribute” means giving out or sending drugs to others as defined by law.
“Electronic transaction record” means a digital file that shows details of a cold medicine sale, like the buyer’s name, ID, amount, and pharmacy information.
“Identification information” means what kind of ID was used and its number.
“Identification number” means the number printed on the buyer’s ID.
“Identification type” means what kind of ID was shown, such as a driver’s license or passport.
