720 ILCS 5/17-2(b)(8) – False Personation of a Firefighter
This law makes it illegal for someone to pretend to be a firefighter.
This Illinois law says that it’s illegal to lie about being a firefighter when you’re not one. It also says that doing so is a Class 4 felony, which is a serious crime.
(b)(8) It breaks this law for a person to pretend to be a firefighter.
(f) Sentence: Breaking subsection (b)(8) is a Class 4 felony.
