720 ILCS 5/17-2(b)(10) – Aggravated False Personation of a Firefighter

This law makes it illegal for someone to pretend to be a firefighter while breaking other laws.

This Illinois law says that it’s illegal to lie about being a firefighter when you’re not one. It says that it’s extra bad if someone does so while committing other felonies.

(b)(10) It breaks this law for a person to pretend to be a firefighter, and attempt to commit a felony while doing so.

(f) Sentence: Breaking subsection (b)(10) is a Class 2 felony.
