578.151. Interference with lawful hunting, fishing or trapping in the first degree — penalty
It’s illegal to disrupt someone who is legally hunting, fishing, or trapping
People have the right to hunt, fish, and trap in Missouri. If someone intentionally gets in the way of those legal activities, they can be charged with a misdemeanor.
1. Missouri law protects the right to hunt, fish, and trap as long as it’s done legally and follows state rules and regulations.
2. A person commits this offense if they purposely interfere with someone lawfully hunting, fishing, or trapping wildlife.
3. It’s also a violation to intentionally bother, scare off, or move game animals or fish in order to interrupt lawful outdoor sports like hunting or fishing.
4. Interfering with lawful hunting, fishing, or trapping in the first degree is a class A misdemeanor .
