Repeat prostitution offenders face tougher penalties.
If someone is found guilty of prostitution more than once, they can be charged with a more serious crime.
1. A person who has previously been convicted under Missouri’s prostitution laws (section 567.020 or 567.030) and is proven to be a “persistent prostitution offender” is guilty of a class E felony.
