562.036. Accountability for conduct.

You can be guilty for your actions or for helping someone else commit a crime.

If you have the right criminal intent, you’re responsible whether you did it yourself or were legally responsible for what someone else did.

1. A person with the required mental state is guilty of a crime if it’s done by:

  • Their own actions,
  • Someone else’s actions they’re legally responsible for, or
  • A combination of both.
