720 ILCS 646/30 – Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials
This law makes it illegal to have or move materials that could be used to make methamphetamine if you plan to use them for that purpose.
This statute says that it is against the law for a person to knowingly have or handle materials used to make methamphetamine, if they plan to make the drug. Breaking this law is a serious crime called a Class 2 felony.
(a) It is illegal to knowingly have, get, move, store, or deliver any material used to make methamphetamine (not including certain chemicals like precursors, substances with precursors, or anhydrous ammonia) if the person plans to use it to make methamphetamine.
(b) Sentence: Anyone who breaks this law can be charged with a Class 2 felony, which is a serious crime with possible prison time.
