This law says it is illegal to sell or offer to sell bath salts in any store in Illinois.

This Illinois law makes it against the law for anyone to sell bath salts in stores. If someone does, they can face a felony charge, a large fine, and possibly lose their business license.

Sec. 20. Prohibition. No one is allowed to sell or try to sell bath salts in any store or shop in Illinois.

Sec. 25. Penalties. Anyone who breaks this law is committing a Class 3 felony. The punishment can include:

  1. Sentence: A fine of up to $150,000.

Also, if someone is convicted of this crime, the local government that gave the store its business license can take away that license.
