720 ILCS 33F-1 Definitions

This section describes the meanings of weapons, body armor, and other phrases as they apply to this law

(a)“Body Armor” means either light or heavy vests, made of a material such as Kevlar, which can be used to stop bullets or other missiles.

(b)“Dangerous Weapon” means a gun, knife, axe, club, or other device that can be used to inflict serious harm.
