720 ILCS 5/11-22 – Tie-In Sales of Obscene Publications to Distributors

This law says it’s illegal to punish a store for not selling obscene or indecent material.

This Illinois law makes it a petty offense for a book or magazine distributor to deny normal shipments to a store just because that store refuses to sell obscene or indecent publications.

Any person, company, or their worker who distributes books, magazines, or similar materials to stores cannot cut off or limit what they send to a store just because that store refuses to sell dirty or inappropriate materials.

Sentence: If a distributor does this, it is a petty offense.

Each time someone sells or delivers materials in violation of this law counts as a separate petty offense.
