Scott Michael Dunn: How does consent work under Illinois law?

Joshua Boardman: Consent would be where there’s an allegation of some of physical contact or something along those lines. Whatever that physical contact is or would be agreed upon by the alleged victim or witness or that they didn’t express any sort of disinterest or they didn’t tell you to stop or were not welcoming or encouraging. And frankly, that can mean a lot of different things based on the interaction. Certainly, consent is one of the defenses that often arise with these types of crimes.
