Interview Transcript

Scott Michael Dunn: Can I see my kids if accused of a sex crime in Illinois?

Joshua Boardman: Depending on the circumstances and depending on how valid or reasonable that the judge finds the petitioner’s arguments within the Illinois petition for an order of protection, there are provisions restricting visitation with children, temporary custody bestowed, temporary child support ordered. So, if the judge finds that those are relative or relevant protections, then, yes, it can act essentially as a temporary custody order.
