566.067. Child molestation, first degree, penalties.

Touching a child under 14 in a sexual way is a serious crime.

This law makes it a felony to have sexual contact with a child under 14, especially if it involves threats, violence, or other serious actions.

1. A person commits first-degree child molestation if they have sexual contact with someone younger than 14 and the offense includes serious or aggravated actions (like injury, threats, or other severe conduct).

2. This is a class A felony. If the child is under 12, the offender must serve their prison time with no chance for probation, parole, or early release.
