579.110. Possession of methamphetamine precursors — penalty.

Having meth-making ingredients with intent to make drugs is illegal.

If you have certain chemicals and plan to make meth, it’s a crime in Missouri.

1. You commit the offense of possession of methamphetamine precursors if you knowingly have chemicals (like ephedrine or other meth ingredients) and plan to use them to make meth or a similar drug.

2. If you have more than 24 grams of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine, that’s enough proof by itself (unless you’re a doctor or running a legal business) to show you meant to break this law.

3. Possession of methamphetamine precursors is a class E felony.
