720 ILCS 5/32-7 – Simulating Legal Process
This law makes it illegal to give out fake papers that look like real legal documents.

(a) A person commits the act of simulating legal process when they give or send out a document that they know falsely looks like or pretends to be a real legal paper used in civil or criminal cases.
(b) Sentence: This crime is a Class B misdemeanor, meaning it is a lower-level offense but can still result in penalties.
