572.070. Possession of a gambling device — penalty

Having or dealing with illegal gambling machines is a crime

If someone makes, sells, moves, or owns a slot machine or other gambling device—knowing it will be used for illegal gambling in Missouri—they can be charged with a misdemeanor.

1. A person commits possession of a gambling device if they knowingly make, sell, transport, place, own, or handle any deal involving:

  • (1) A slot machine; or
  • (2) Any other gambling device, if they know or should know it will be used in Missouri for illegal gambling.

2. Possession of a gambling device is a class A misdemeanor.
