Commercial drivers must tell their employer if they lose driving privileges.

If your commercial driver’s license (CDL) is suspended, revoked, canceled, or you’re disqualified or ordered out of service, you must inform your employer quickly.

1. If your CDL is suspended, revoked, canceled, or you are disqualified or given an out-of-service order in any state, you must notify your employer by the end of the next business day after you receive notice.
