577.706. Planting a bomb or explosive in or near a bus or terminal — penalties

Bomb threats or attacks involving buses or terminals are major felonies

Planting or threatening to plant a bomb near a bus or terminal—or shooting or throwing something at one—can lead to serious felony charges in Missouri.

1. A person commits a class A felony if they place or plant any bomb or explosive in, on, or near a bus or terminal where:

  • People are present or being transported, or
  • Goods or items of value are stored, shipped, or being prepared for shipment.

2. Threatening to plant a bomb or explosive in or near a bus or terminal is a class D felony.

3. Anyone who shoots a gun or throws an object at, into, or onto a bus, terminal, or other transportation facility commits a class B felony.
