We are currently seeking a Paralegal or Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in delivering exceptional results and an outstanding client experience. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our downtown St. Louis office.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with experience in litigation support—especially discovery. You’ll be working directly with experienced attorneys on serious criminal matters, contributing in meaningful ways to the outcomes of complex cases.
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds. Whether you’re an experienced paralegal, a recent graduate working toward certification, or someone with strong administrative or customer service experience and a passion for criminal law—we want to hear from you.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- A clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing deadlines
- Eager to learn and take initiative
- Tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems (Microsoft Office experience required)
- Passionate about criminal defense and helping people through difficult situations
A Paralegal Certificate is not required. Experience in a law firm is helpful but not required.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role will be central to helping our attorneys prepare and manage high-stakes cases. Responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing, organizing, and summarizing discovery
- Preparing documents and coordinating filings with courts
- Assisting in client onboarding and maintaining regular contact
- Drafting correspondence and helping manage case communications
- Managing internal systems and client databases
- Liaising with prosecutors, experts, and court staff
- Tracking deadlines and keeping case files organized
- Contributing to firm-wide operations and improvements
