569.055. Knowingly burning or exploding — penalty.

Starting a fire or explosion that damages someone else’s property is a felony

In Missouri, it’s a crime to intentionally damage someone else’s property by setting it on fire or causing an explosion.

1. A person commits this offense if they purposely start a fire or cause an explosion that damages another person’s property.

2. This crime is classified as a class E felony.
