Touching a teen under 17 in a sexual way is a crime if you’re much older.
This law makes it illegal for someone more than four years older to have sexual contact with a child under 17.
1. A person commits fourth-degree child molestation if they are more than four years older than someone under 17 and they touch that child in a sexual way.
2. This sex crime is a class E felony.
